The Kerouac Odyssey
We were never meant to walk through life alone.
We all experience the weight of grief, change and hardship but society never taught us how navigate these things healthily.
On our three month deep-dive programme, we tackle life together; reconnecting with nature, community and our inner-resources to become stronger and more resilient.
The Odyssey is a bold, innovative approach to supporting men’s mental health through adventure, community, and reflection.
The Odyssey is particularly designed to support men in moments of…
Recovery…
Find our way back from circumstances that have interrupted our growth and progress,,,
Major Life Transition…
There are moments of change and transition in all of our lives which can make for a rough ride.
Isolation…
Feeling alone on the journey is normal - it doesn’t need to be.
Programme Structure
The Odyssey is a three month programme based in Jersey. You will join a cohort with other participants and journey together through a combination of group activities and tailored individual support.
Activities take place around two to three times per month, and you will have access to one-on-one support with mentors and counsellors.
The programme balances adventure with reflective, therapeutic, and creative sessions.
The programme is structured around five pillars - all of which have been demonstrated to be beneficial to mental health and wellbeing as a whole programme aims to provide a positive framework of community-based support.
-
Retreats
Our cohort will start and end their journey on a weekend retreat in a beautiful location, working with a trained retreat facilitator.
-
Adventure Journeys
Outdoor activities designed to challenge and inspire, such as coasteering, hiking, wild swimming, camping, and exploration of Jersey’s landscapes.
-
Reflection Circles
Regular group meetings where we share our experiences, reflect on personal growth, and support each other.
Hosted by trained facilitators and guides.
-
Individual Pathways
Tailored one-on-one support to address specific needs and goals.
Engage with mentors, coaches, or creative projects based on your unique circumstances.
-
Creative Exploration
Opportunities for participants to engage in creative expression, such as craft-based making, music, storytelling, or art.
The Cost of the Programme
Pricing model
Because we know many of the men who come to us are in very different financial situations, we use a flexible, fair, and confidential pricing system.
Our aim is simple: to keep the programme sustainable, and to make sure support is available to the people who need it most
.
Options
We offer three broad options:
Standard contribution (for those who can cover the full cost)
Supported contribution (part-funded places)
Fully funded places for those facing financial hardship
But these are only starting points.
flexible and tailored
We speak with every participant individually and agree a contribution that feels fair, manageable, and reflective of their circumstances.
No one will be turned away because of money.
How do I take part?
We are currently starting a selective process to choose members for the next cohort - starting in April 2026.
Please fill out the this contact form, and we’ll get in touch to discuss the programme and how it might help you.
