Year-round our events provide the opportunity to disconnect from the hum-drum and tune in to a deeper rhythm. Retreats in the wild, group adventures, talking circles, hands-on crafting and making- and more.
Adventure, vulnerability and leadership: An Evening With Will Carnegie
Will is a business coach and facilitator, a husband, father and lifelong learner.
In 2000 at just 27 years old he led a team of amateur sailors around the world over 10 months whilst competing in the BT Global Challenge; the only yacht race to circumnavigate against the prevailing winds and currents.
Will’s leadership skills were tested to the full when his yacht was hit by a freak wave off the coast of Australia, nearly killing two of the crew. What happened next is a tale of sheer determination and team effort and was reported in the press as “One of the truly outstanding achievements of this leg”. It is an inspirational example of teamwork and leadership at its most effective.
Will will share his reflections on a remarkable race where at times he was well out of his depth (literally and metaphorically)! Learn how Will discovered how critical vulnerability was to his own and others’ mental and physical health.
